Work Required for a C



In order to be eligible for a grade of C going into the final, you must complete all required Weekly pCLUEs and Grammar Worksheets, receive a 32 or higher on the Secure CLUE, meet the attendance requirement, write 6 Process Journal entries, a cover letter for one Main Assignment submitted for a grade, and complete the following work from each workshop.

Workshop 1

  1. Activities 1-6
  2. choose one from the following:

Workshop 3

  1. Activities 1-2
  2. choose two from the following essay genres in “Step Two: Trying Out Genres” (starts on page 59)
  3. Main Assignment (choose an expository essay, 400 words)

Workshop 4

  1. Activity 1 (on Wilber; at least 250 words)
  2. Activity 2 (on Wilber; at least 250 words)
  3. Main Assignment (either focused collage or essay, 400 words)

 

Workshop 5

  1. Three separate drafts of your paper on Wilber from Workshop 4 (the first two must be brought to class for peer review), one at the end of each of the following stages:
  2. Main Assignment, which is the same as the final draft above (400 words, on Wilber)

Workshop 9

Main Assignment I, which must include/use/draw from some aspect of Wilber's theories. This Assignment will be in three parts:

    1. Freewriting on at least three separate (though they can be related) topics (p.230).
    2. First draft, to be due in class for peer review. THREE COPIES DUE at start of class Friday, 4/8. (200 words)
    3. Letter to the Editor (250 words). DUE at start of class Monday, 4/11.

Workshop 11

Research Paper, using Wilber's integral theory. This assignment will be in three parts:

    1. Bibliography. DUE Friday, 4/15. Please see assignment sheet for Bibliography guidelines.
    2. First Draft. THREE COPIES DUE at the start of class Friday, 4/22. See assignment sheet for details.
    3. Final Draft (850 words minimum). DUE Wednesday, 4/27. See assignment sheet for details.

Workshop 12

Final Portfolio. This is simply the final presentation of all the work you have done in class, presented as professionally as possible. See me if you have any questions.
